A chieftain of the Free Folk and one of Mance Rayder's chief lieutenants in the wildling host that came down upon the Wall. A great red-bearded man fond of mead, songs, and longer titles than any other in the camp: Tall-Talker, Husband to Bears, Mead-King of Ruddy Hall, Speaker to Gods, Father of Hosts, and last the Giantsbane of his fame. He held the host in the long battle at Castle Black in 300 AC, and the host broke at the foot of the Wall when Stannis Baratheon came up from the south at the gallop. He bent his knee thereafter to the new Lord Commander of the Watch, Jon Snow, who let his people through the gate.
