A knight of the red-apple Fossoways of Cider Hall in the service of Lord Mace Tyrell of Highgarden during the War of the Five Kings. He answered Renly Baratheon's call when the king set up his court at Bitterbridge in 299 AC, and there at a feast in the would-be king's pavilion stood up upon a bench and swore in his cups to take the head of the Hound, Sandor Clegane, in single combat — only to put his boot squarely into a gravy boat at the height of his oath, so that no man among the table took his vow seriously. He survived the death of King Renly and the rout of his army at Storm's End, marched on with the rest of the Reach host to the Blackwater under Lord Tyrell's banners, and bent the knee to King Joffrey Baratheon when the city was relieved.
