A son or younger brother of a King in the North who took the black and rose to be Lord Commander of the Night's Watch at the age of ten, one of the four youngest men ever to hold the post. He is one of several Starks who reached that high office in the long centuries when the Watch had a friend in Winterfell, and is remembered as a sign of the bond between House Stark and the black brothers.
