A noblewoman of House Woolfield of the white-harbor lands, plump and pink-cheeked, with yellow hair and a round fleshy face, sworn at her marriage into House Manderly of New Castle. She is wed to Ser Wylis, the eldest son and heir of Lord Wyman the Lord Too-Fat-To-Sit-A-Horse Manderly, and has given him two daughters — Wynafryd, the elder, and Wylla, the more outspoken — and devotes herself daily to the Seven at the Sept-of-the-Snows for her husband's safe return out of the hostageship in which the Iron Throne has held him at Harrenhal since the Battle of the Camps. When Ser Davos Seaworth came to White Harbor in 300 AC bearing King Stannis Baratheon's call to arms, she met him with the same fear-bred contempt she met any messenger from beyond the city walls: the prayers of godly men, she told him, will shield us against your red queen's spells, and she hauled her younger daughter Wylla out of the Merman's Court by the wrist before the girl could speak too plainly for the wolves of Winterfell at the hearing of those who might carry it south to her husband's gaolers.
