Eleventh child of King Jaehaerys I and Queen Alysanne, born early in 73 AC at the Red Keep after a long and difficult labor, a scrawny thing almost half the size his brother Vaegon had been at birth. He was named for Gaemon the Glorious, greatest of the Lords of Dragonstone before the Conquest, but did not live to grow into the name; he died a few days into 74 AC at King's Landing, less than three months old.
