Dyanna Dayne

A daughter of House Dayne of Starfall, given in marriage to Prince Maekar Targaryen, fourth son of King Daeron II, in the years when the Iron Throne was held by his brother. She bore the prince six children: the sons Daeron, Aerion called Brightflame, Aemon (who would forsake the line for the chain of a maester), and Aegon, who in time would be raised up as Aegon V called the Unlikely; and the daughters Daella and Rhae. She died long before the succession fell upon her husband, so that the crown of the Seven Kingdoms never rested on her brow, and the rearing of her sons fell more and more to the stern hand of Maekar at Summerhall. Through her Dornish blood, the violet eyes and dark hair of Starfall passed into the silver line of Valyria, and through her youngest son she became grandmother to Jaehaerys II and great-grandmother to the last Targaryen kings.
