Born Daemon Waters, the eldest of the Great Bastards, son of King Aegon IV by Princess Daena the Defiant. Legitimised on his father's deathbed and given the ancestral Targaryen blade Blackfyre, which he took for the name of his house. Twelve years later he raised the black dragon banner against his half-brother Daeron II at Whitewalls and the Redgrass Field, where he and his eldest sons were struck down by Bloodraven's arrows. The Blackfyre line he founded waged five rebellions and went on for a century.
