Younger son of Lord Daemon and brother to Lord Aethan, knighted in the early years of the realm and named in 10 AC the first Lord Commander of the Kingsguard of King Aegon I Targaryen, the founder of that order of seven white knights as it would stand for three centuries. His own sons would be remembered only as cousins of his great-niece, Queen Alyssa.
