Bennard Stark

Younger son of Lord Benjen and brother to Lord Rickon, and regent of the north during the minority of his thirteen-year-old nephew Cregan after Rickon's death in 121 AC. Bennard wed Lady Margaret Karstark of Karhold and had of her three sons, Benjen, Brandon, and Elric. When Cregan came of age in 126 AC, Bennard was slow to lay down his power; he hedged, delayed, and at length found himself, with his sons, locked in the dungeons of Winterfell after the young lord rose against him in a brief, bloodless coup. The chronicles do not record what became of Bennard or his sons after.
