Benjen Stark

Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North between Ellard Stark and his own son Rickon, in the years after the Great Council of 101 AC. He wed Lady Lysa Locke of Oldcastle and got of her two sons, Rickon (who would succeed him) and Bennard (who would serve as regent over a young grandson). By what relation he stood to Ellard the chronicles do not preserve; the maesters who came after only knew that the seat passed cleanly to a Benjen and then onward to a Rickon as the realm slid toward the Dance of the Dragons.
