Barthogan Stark (Barth Blacksword)

Fourth son of Cregan Stark by his third wife Lynara, called Barth Blacksword for the dark sword he carried into battle. After the childless death of his brother Jonnel One-Eye the lordship of Winterfell passed not to their elder brother Edric (who had children of his own by Serena Stark) but to Barthogan, by what reasoning the chroniclers cannot now reconstruct. He died childless himself, slain in the Skagosi rebellion during the reign of King Daeron II Targaryen, and the lordship of Winterfell then passed at last to his youngest brother Brandon, from whom every modern Stark descends.
