Alys Rivers

Alys Rivers was a wet nurse at Harrenhal in the time of the Dance of the Dragons, taken first as a captive and afterward as a lover by Prince Aemond Targaryen when he made the cursed castle his seat. Grand Maester Munkun and Septon Eustace both held her to be the bastard daughter of Lord Lyonel Strong, though Mushroom and other tongues placed her birth several generations earlier and gave her witch's years, for she was said to drink the blood of maidens and read the future in the flames. When Aemond left Harrenhal to die above the Gods Eye, Alys was great with his child, and after every other Strong at the castle had been put to the sword, she alone was spared. She bore his son in the ruined kitchens, and what became of her after is a matter the maesters do not agree upon, though Harrenhal has been an ill seat for every house that has held it since.
