Alys Arryn

Only daughter of Lord Jasper Arryn of the Eyrie, sister to Lord Jon Arryn and to Ser Ronnel, wed to Ser Elys Waynwood of Ironoaks. She bore him nine children, eight daughters and a single son, and died not long after the last was born. The boy, Jasper Waynwood, was kicked in the head by a horse at three years old; the eldest daughter married Ser Denys Arryn and outlived him only briefly; two more died as children of the pox, a fourth was so scarred by the same sickness that she took the veil as a septa, and a fifth, seduced by a sellsword and brought to bed of a bastard who did not live, took the silent vows. One sister was wed to the barren bed of the Lord of the Paps, another was carried off by Burned Men on the road to a Bracken match, and the youngest, given to a landed knight of House Hardyng, died after giving him a son, Harrold Hardyng, the boy now called heir to the Eyrie.
