Alicent Hightower

Daughter of Ser Otto Hightower, Hand of the King to two Targaryen kings. Companion to old Jaehaerys in his last years, then in 106 AC married to the widowed Viserys I, a match she did not seek but worked thereafter with iron will to turn to her sons' advantage. She bore the king four children, raised them to believe the throne was theirs, and was the silent architect of the green faction that crowned her son Aegon over his half-sister Rhaenyra.
