Eldest surviving son of Jaehaerys I and heir apparent for most of his life, beloved of his father and trusted with the rule of Dragonstone. He wed Lady Jocelyn Baratheon and fathered a single daughter, Rhaenys; struck by a Myrish crossbow bolt at Tarth in 92 AC, he died before he could come to the throne, and his claim passed under contest to his younger brother Baelon.
